Hi all,

I am a history student at the University taking part in the Witness project. The aim is to interview and record people's memories of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and the country's history. The purpose of this is to create an archive of oral history that will interest both the general public and academics.

I am particularly interested in Sheffield during the war, the steel and mining industries and political activism. If anyone out there has experiences/memories of any of these, and has any questions about taking part, please contact me on here, via frdcameron1@sheffield.ac.uk, or 07503213157. I would be really interested in hearing your stories, and it would be great if you got in touch.

If anyone would like to get more of an idea of the project, just search for Sheffield Witness and it is the first result on google.

Many thanks,

Frank Cameron
