Clarkson suspended by the BBC

Recommended Posts

At the very least it is a stupid move, before an investigation has taken place.

Where is the wisdom in sticking up for a superior in an organisation who has physically assaulted and verbally abused someone working for him? What message is it sending? If your line manager had a hissy fit and repeatedly swore at you, insulted you, and then punched you, how would you feel if Cameron came on tv in support of your abuser?

He has some lovely mates, doesn't he? Coulson, anyone? Brookes?

I wish I'd have seen him speak up for the 1400 girls in Rotherham so soon after news about that broke.

He's not bothered about them they live in a socialist area.North of Watford.

Perhaps some people are much more in favour of the more upstanding pillars of society on the goggle box.

Savile,Max Clifford , Ralph Harris, Stuart Hall , Gary Glitter and so on.

At least with Clarkson what you see is what you get, a toss pot no doubt! but not hiding behind respectability as so many so called celebs seem to be these days.

No. It's obvious that Clarkson's voice will be familiar enough to them for them to tell it was him that was doing the shouting. What I'm saying is there is no indication that they saw what happened - so this report neither confirms nor denies that an assault took place.

So a voice that you have only ever heard on tv and one who changes his accent to suit his audience is one of a large group having an argument. All the other folk are people whose voices you have never heard before. You are in a different room where you can't see what is going on but feel that you can report on every word that one person says. Don't get a job as a lawyer.

Dealt with it. Quite frankly if a key talent and major production of the BBC hired my entire hotel and additional services at great costs I would make damn sure that I provided what they wanted and when they wanted a little inconvenience can be put up with.

So they were a little inconsiderate and allegedly acted inappropriately (against a producer BTW, not the hotel staff). Big deal! Stars have diva demands. Its certainly not the worst demands and behaviour that I have heard some celebs get up to.

You deal with things in the hospitality and transport industry and charge accordingly. It seems to me from what I have read that the hotel management sorted it out. What did or didn't happen between Clarkson and Producer is a totally separate issue.

You say key talent. Was someone else with them?

First of all, I have enormous respect for hospitality staff and always make a point of being polite to them.

As far as I'm concerned they are doing me a favour by working unsociable hours and allowing me to enjoy a good experience.

Secondly, the acceptance of the situation whereby 'celebrities' with their over inflated sense of entitlement should be tolerated is pitiful.

The Hotel, Restaurant, Bistro, Pub trade provides a level of service, you choose the level you require, you pay for it and you pay and act accordingly.

They are not your personal servants, they are people earning an honest living and due the respect and politeness that you would expect in return.

Obsequiousness is a pathetic attitude and has no place in the modern world.

Those who demand it are weak and inadequate people who need their egos massaged because deep inside they know how pathetic they really are.

The most impressive people - some of whom are extremely wealthy, some not so much - treat others as equals, they have no need to bolster their self esteem or confidence by acting like gits in their treatment of others.

Clarkson is an obnoxious prat who is under the impression that he matters in the whole scheme of things and isn't bright enough to realise that none of us matter so we might as well treat each other kindly.

Until such time as you have a real reason to take umbrage in which case headbutts and Ringsend uppercuts are quite in order.

Well said could not agree more .

I've no doubt you're right, but those that support Clarkson are exactly the type that would likely defend the others you mention.

What's amusing is he threatens a 'no body' with the sack for not providing him with din dins, and yet he gets to keep his job previously for being a loud mouthed bigot, on prime time TV.

And in person - read the report you posted.

and one who changes his accent to suit his audience is one of a large group having an argument. All the other folk are people whose voices you have never heard before. You are in a different room where you can't see what is going on but feel that you can report on every word that one person says. Don't get a job as a lawyer.

If you think that report proves there wasn't an assault I suggest you don't either.

As I said - it neither confirms nor denies that an assault took place.

I would pay money to see that.I also know of a few of my ex workmates of the rigs that would really like this pillock to take a swing at them. Now that would be satisfying .

Not sure what the economy has to do with your proposal of violence and the thread.
