Free children's guitar and bass jazz workshop on Easter Sunday

Hello Sheffield Forumites!

 

Myself and some friends will be running a kids jazz guitar orchestra workshop in the Winter Gardens on Easter Sunday from 2:30- 4:00 with a little concert at the end to show off what we've been doing. It's suitable for ages 8-15 and is fine for complete beginners or intermediate players. Advanced players who know a little about improvisation will also be welcome and we'll try and slot some little solo breaks in if we have any really good players turn up.

 

At the end there will be a little concert to show off what we've come up with, should hopefully be a nice little arrangement of a jazz standard simplified for kids. Either that or a horrible racket but at least we'll have all had fun!

 

It doesn't cost anything and instruments can be borrowed for complete beginners if necessary, but BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL so we know how to pitch the difficulty and how many instruments will be needed. There will not be any electricity so guitars brought will have to be acoustic.
