scottf Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Looks like the blades have managed to capture the Blackpool striker Steven Davis. Should give much needed backup for Matty Done http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31763561
trav4 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I've been following this and really hope Clough knows something more than us about this lad, he has been chasing him long enough but I can't see why, that's probably why he gets paid the big bucks.
byeo Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 How many ex Derby players is that now? Exactly, I'm not a fan of managers who go for their old players. Warnock does/did similar.
scottf Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Exactly, I'm not a fan of managers who go for their old players. Warnock does/did similar. And got us promoted doing so? Its obvious to everyone that Mcnulty was the weak link in that team on Saturday so he has strenthened immediately. You have to remember that clough pretty much set Derby up for this promotion push they are having now with the work he did in the background so ill trust his judgement for the time being.
CorkerSWFC Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 It could be the "big break" United need this signing... (gets coat)
Gazza58 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 You would think considering blackpool cant play madine tomorrow, they would have delayed this loan until after the weekend, they obviously don't think much of him. Maybe stepping down a league might work for him.

I didn't know loan players could be prevented from playing against the club that own them, in fact I thought I had read something to the opposite but must be wrong. I've just looked and loan players in the premier are not allowed to play against their parent club except in cup competitions. Edited March 6, 2015 by trav4

We should have insisted on Madine playing against us, as a condition of his loan:)
