I have all these 1 minute long video clips (file type .mov) and each one follows on from where the previous clip ends in terms of location of the footage ( from a car dash cam)

At the moment, the only way I can get them to play continuously one after the other is to put them in to a play list within WM Player, and even then I still cannot move them anywhere. The thing is, I may want to select a few of the files and send to a folder in my docs to make a 5 minute vid clip for example. Or put some of the footage on a spare card for someone else to view. However, (presumably?) because of the file type or settings in wmp?? (that I have yet to discover/understand), I cannot even “right click” them and “send to” anywhere else. There is no “send to” option appearing when I right click the files.

At the moment these files (that play fine in wmp) are just sat on the 32gb micro sd card. The only thing that I can do is play them (or delete them so they are not locked). Is there a workaround with these two issues.

You can lock SD cards but that won't stop you copying them off using explorer, just deleting/moving.

As for merging, it depends what you want to play them in.

What I really want to do is maybe change settings or something within wmp, to sort the problem without d/loading any extra stuff (although thanks for the link).

I contacted the camera supplier and he says he plays the files (and can move them) with no problem. He did mention though that the wmp he is using is in windows 7. Should I be able to do the same with xp?

Update: I have now found that although there is no "send to" option, I can actaully drag & drop the files in to another folder in my doc.

Yesterday, the guy in the PC shop felt that windows movie maker would make it possible for the clips to be put together as one clip/film. He was not able to show me how, and as yet I have not worked out how to do that.

If anyone on here is a Wiz at using windows movie maker, then I am your new student;)
