daheng Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) i'm a Chinese student who has been in Sheffield for half a year, but i don't know whether there is a large ground or club for playing RC cars. Last Sunday, i played my RC car in one park, but i got abused by a man saying it was private place. so i just wondering if any one can tell me a particular place for playing RC cars. RC car is my interest, who can share a little light for me. thank you very much. Edited March 5, 2015 by daheng grammar mistakes
RootsBooster Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 What area are you in and what type of car do you have?
Locksley Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 You should be fine in any public park really, although obviously if it's nitro/gas then you'd have to be a bit more careful from a safety and noise point of view. I've run both electric and nitro on and off road stuff in Graves park before without problem.
RootsBooster Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 If it's drift/GT cars you're into then you could see if these guys still meet up... http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1299296 If it's off-road buggies/trucks/truggies you're into then there's a club in Rotherham, also several skateparks and BMX tracks in Sheffield to tear around and get some big air
jparr Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) I bought one last week as my new hobby.i got it from a lovely shop with helpful staff. Staff helped me out with running in problems.so bear them in mind if you need anything it's called nitro flight .i go on some waste land near me no houses and not many walkers.i presume if you play sensible and safe you would be good in most parks.if it is nitro like mine you need it away from houses because of noise. Electric is fine Edited March 5, 2015 by jparr Read post incorrect
