jamesstarky Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Where can I buy large amounts of PVA, near the Moor? Thanks James
Chez2 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Not quite sure how to answer as you have asked in the craft section. I was going to suggest 5L bottles from builders merchants but that is more likely to be dilute compared to craft quality PVA. I don't shop in that area of Sheffield but a quick 'Google' suggests there is a craft shop in the Moor market. Kids glue is usually PVA, don't know if there are any kids toy shops near the Moor. What do you call large amounts? What do you need it for? I ask as it does vary in quality, in the amount of water it has in it. Hopefully someone may be able to help you more than I can.
Love2print Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Pinders do art stuff, on Moore Street opposite Wickes. Also try Wickes as they should have decorators PVA.
Chez2 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 It would have been courteous jamesstarkey to pop back and acknowledge the posts. I can see you logged in 15th March. Did you buy your PVA?
jamesstarky Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Yes, thanks for the advice, Wickes had the best value PVA, although it said 'builders' something or other, its always easy to water down. i'm using it for sealing the paper on paper lanterns, getting ready for the Sharrow Lantern Carnival. james
muddycoffee Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Big tubs in Wickes Agreed the sell it in wickes. I use it to add to gobbo when I'm fixing my garden walls
maxiesmum Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 PVA can be bought in poundland and the works both are on the moor!
