It'll be interesting to see how they go about it,the gauntlet is down now anyway,to the players.manager and the rest of the Championship teams.

Interesting times ahead for both Sheffield clubs,now that finance is no longer an issue..

 

DC is saying all the right things at the moment....pitch replacement,Manager is safe,investment in players when required,premier league in 2 years etc....plus free tuna sarnies at every home game...

 

To be fair though, you would hardly have expected Mr TUF (or his interpreter) to walk in and say he's happy to survive in the Championship, and is hoping to keep you out of L1 for the 150th anniversary... or to say that he's happy with the bog that is the current pitch. Any new Chairman with cash to burn would say similar.

 

He's been very generous with SG though, if he really is going to spend, spend, spend, then he should be demanding bare minimum of the playoffs next season?

 

Glad to see the deal has gone through smoothly though after previous issues, for those on here who have had to put up with some of the dross at the club since 1999 - hopefully by the end of the decade, we can both be seriously challenging to get into/stay in the PL... A good day for Sheffield football.
