He was a slip away from winning the Champions League! But on the down side, there was a lot of rumours that the Chelsea team ignored his input and managed themselves, and his record post-Chelsea does seem to add weight to this rumour.
tzijlstra Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Seriously hope this isn't true, never rated him and he did a dreadful job at West Ham. He is the epitomy of a man living of false sympathy. He did nowt at Chelsea, nowt at Portsmouth (except for a cup run) and nowt at West Ham, but because of the way he left all three clubs people rate him for some god unknown reason.

Said it for me too there Tim - please no!
trav4 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 It must be great this morning for Gray to read that after yesterdays result.
potlegs Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 SG should keep his job - I am sick to death of hearing 'fans' having a go at him. Had words with a pal about it before kick off yesterday - gave him a right thump at full time!
tzijlstra Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Yep, agreed Potty, Some people have memories that don't span beyond two or three games, but this season we have performed way above our level. It now also begins to look like he has managed to bed in the new signings properly which is a hell of a lot quicker than I thought he would be able to AND he has definitely made us more attacking, which goes to show that he is getting most out of what he has available. Anybody moaning at Gray doesn't understand football.
Something Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I agree that Uncle Stuart is doing and has done an excellent job. However, if you were a multi million pound owner with money, to a certain degree no object, would you stick with someone that no one has ever heard of outside St. Mary's, Villa Park and Hillsborough or would you try to employ the best around? (I'm not including Avram Grant in that by the way). There is no place for sentiment at all. It's a case of, 'Thanks and goodbye Stuart'. If Stuart Gray is still manager come August I will go and watch one match at Bramall Lane next season!!!
