It's the same thing. Anyway, he beat you to it regardless.

umm.....I was being pedantic like you

Obviously, the same thing in your mind but not synonymous in reality.

............and him beating me...........well nobody told me it was a contest!?

Did you watch it or were you too busy combing "posts" or should that be "mentions" for repetative content?

watched the documentary with great interest, a nice touch of nostalgia for the shefield I knew as a small boy, and a touch of sadness that in a lot of ways, life hasnt changed that much, and a lot of the hardships that were commonplace in 1973 have been exacerbated by time.

I still love Sheffield, it has always been, and will always be.... Home!

I thought it was a bit of a bore, with the exception of the street scenes and panoramic views, and seeing those lovely old blue and cream buses again.

The inside views of the steelworks were welcome.

These parts were very good.

Did anyone record this on DVD, I haven't got BBC4 and I'd love to see it.

I thought it was a little slow. Not enough scenes of Sheffield. Could have been anywhere most of the time. But I suppose that was the point of it all.

Tend to agree with you though glad I saw it thanks to posted thread. Thought there was too much time spent with the child birth. I recognised Colin Brannigan, former editor at The Star. Would like to know th name of the steelworks MD handing over the canteen of cutlery? Seem to recognise him as an ex-Master Cutler? Thought he'd got a voice tailor-made for broadcasting. Could still have viewed for longer but as you say, more views!
