smithy266 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Wouldn't mind so much, but we fought to keep fire stations open only last year!
Mindbending Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 They strike now and it barely makes the news ...... what does that tell us
woodmally Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 They strike now and it barely makes the news ...... what does that tell us Its the wider issue of strike action and that it no longer makes the news as it happens so often. It doesnt happen long enough to make an impact on issues that people care about. I think unions will strike at any opportunity to make a point.

woodmally Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Agree with you Thanks though the FBU isnt as bad as some unions. Take this example they went on strike to protect a colleague rather than peoples safety! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/road-and-rail-transport/11403238/Tube-drivers-go-on-strike-in-defence-of-colleague-caught-drunk-at-the-wheel-twice.html
alchresearch Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 They strike now and it barely makes the news ...... what does that tell us 66 strikes in two years is pretty amazing.
Alan Ladd Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Public service workers should be banned from striking. Particularly firemen, they all have fiddle jobs. The public know they have. That's why they get so little support.
