The great game of football that began in our city is now being ruined in my opinion by money grabbing ruling bodies, the World cup now looks certain to be played in November/December in Qatar, why was this place ever considered suitable for the tournament but England wasn't?.

The saddest part of all this is the workers that the Qataris are employing. They have the contracts they were offered torn up when they get to the country, are made to live in squalour but the worst stat of all is the estimated 4,000 people who will die building the stadia which would be totally unacceptable if it happened here.

I know people may not agree with me but I really believe this event should be boycotted for so many reasons.

I'd be happy for England to pull out of the tournament.

But it all seems a bit pointless when no other nations will follow suit and someone will just take our place.

Further more we will probably be expelled for the next competition too.

 

We need to find allies and boycott the tournament, what is happening to the workers over there is absolutely scandalous,

I think the death toll is over 2,000 already.

It should be cancelled. I heard the 4000 death estimate on talksport this morning, that cannot be justified

I agree - England should not go (we are crap in the World Cup anyhow ) but unless others - like Germany/Spain etc boycott too it would seem futile - but I for one wouldn't care - I don't think we should play there. For so many reasons.

The Dutch are seriously lobbying the KNVB to pull out. A Dutch fan-site has proposed that the Dutch should play an U21 side for all qualifiers and the manager has had questions about that already in press-conferences. I really hope they will do it, I am definitely not going to get excited about this farce.
