That's not really an answer. Is it right that religious adults impose their religion on their kids?

I disagree. I think it can be bad.

It's not always relevant and doesn't allow free-thinking views to be developed properly.

How can it be a bad thing ? My parents were Christians they never indoctrinated me , I made my own choice to be a christian , my faith gives me hope , and peace in this terrible world in which we live . My parents encouraged free thinking and answered questions when I asked but they never pushed me or gave information that wasn't asked for and they could have ! Not everyone pushes faith onto their children ,

It's nothing to do with the subject of messy church , I tend to think that the link is good for children who want to have an experience of christian life , many children of christian parents see church as family , acceptance of who they are , in Zimbabwe we have children who have lost parents who have strong faith! But not the kind of radical faith which in sites terrorist behavour

No it's not about that ! You all jump on the band wagon of indoctrination , yet Jewish and Muslim children get schooled in their faith after school is that not indoctrination? People always have a go at Christians for wanting to show what their Faith is !

Of course it is, if a thread comes up about them I'll happily criticise any faith for indoctrination of vulnerable children. As it happens, this one's about a Christian Church.

To be fair, if I were religious, I'd take my kids to this. As it happens, I'm not, so I don't. There's a Messy Church in Killamarsh and I've been told it's good for kids and adults, but there is a lot of religious stuff aimed at the kids.

At the end of the day, if you aren't keen on exposing your child to religion, don't take them, but don't criticise those who do.

Why not ?

Is it right that I take my son to Liverpool games and want him to grow up to support them?

Is it right that I want my son to listen to the music I like and want him to learn to play a musical instrument?

I think my answer to you was perfectly suitable. Parents want what's best for their children. If parents think their religion is important, they will want their kids to be taught about it.

Children don't need to know about faith. It's not a necessity.

Why not ?

Why would you want to? Why do you feel the need to criticise someone when they're not doing any harm?

Church family can bring hope in a world where families are fragmented church can be like family , giving us security and knowledge there is a better way to live , many families don't teach children true faith though.
