tinfoilhat   11 #136 Posted July 18, 2017 Cleethorpes do sensational fish and chips.  I've been to two recently and not thought much of either. However, the restaurant on the end of pier wins hands down for the poshest chippy I've ever been in.
 Share this content via...
blackydog   40 #137 Posted July 20, 2017 Chapel st leonards is nice and quiet.  That's the last way I would have described it. From my experience it's neither one or the other.
 Share this content via...

Berberis   10 #140 Posted July 20, 2017 Cleethorpes do sensational fish and chips.  Personally the fish and chips we had while there was mediocre at best. My local chippy here in Sheffield does far superior food and it probably comes form the same place (Grimsby). By the evening the fresh quality is no different to the fish sold just about anywhere in the country.
 Share this content via...
sedith   19 #141 Posted July 30, 2017 Cleethorpes is a great place, good memories of it from being a young lad, in fact we are booked in at Thorpe Park for a week in September ... 580 mile round trip for us but really looking forward to it. I recall as a teenager spending holidays at my friends parents caravan at Beacholme, Club International and the disco in the Boat House ... I remember it well. Unisol   12 #144 Posted August 27, 2017 Without sounding like a snob - can anyone recommend any slightly more upmarket seaside resorts between say Scarborough and Skegness on the east coast I.e. reasonable driving distance from Sheffield?  Thanks
 Share this content via...
