WhiteHawk 10 #1 Posted February 12, 2015 I'm wanting a scarf like this, but don't fancy paying £60 for one. http://www.savile-rogue.com/england-premier-league-c14/arsenal-c15/savile-rogue-red-and-white-deluxe-cashmere-football-scarf-in-the-colours-of-arsenal-p52 Does anyone have a pattern for one? What's the best type of wool to use? I want it to be nice and soft, not cheap and itchy on my skin. How much wool would I need? (I want it about 5 feet long) I'm not knitting it myself btw, I'm going to get someone to do it for me.
 Share this content via...
Becky B 30 #2 Posted February 13, 2015 Right. Based on a quick google search for pure cashmere yarn and an estimator tool for yardage required for a rectangle of the size of the Arsenal scarf, the yarn will cost around £350. Obviously cheaper yarn/smaller scarf/any combination of the two will be different. Something like Debbie Bliss Cashmerino (which is lovely) might cost £25 or so for a scarf of that size. My current winter scarf is narrower and shorter than the one you linked to, made of pure wool (which is a bit scratchy but very warm!). The yarn for that was around £15. You don't really need a pattern for a scarf like that, but check this website out anyway http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com
 Share this content via...
