If it was to become a park or something the council will have to put their hands in their pocket and buy the land.

Its a shame we can't have another ski centre, although I watched the Eddie The Eagle movie last night which may be swaying my opinion.

I don't think the location helps.

 

If the hill had been nearer the M1 it might have got a few people in.

The land owner wants to turn the site into housing, not some hair-brained community fun-park.

 

The site is already being used for housing hence all the caravans that have been on the site for at least the last two years

It would be good, but will it ever happen and with Sheffield Council I have no confidence. It will probably be another idea that won't happen

 

I completely agree. Given what happened on the Ski Village in the last few years, I wonder who would have so much confidence to invest any hard-gained money on this site.

I presume much Insurance money was paid out to Ski Village owners when it burnt down??
