Liteon xbox 360 drive

Anyone flash these drives ? I can get 1 of ebay but seems a bit much changeing the board or key. Its the big black version. How much if anyone can? Thanks ken

Changing the board only takes about 10 minutes to do, Flashing isn't recommended as a recent update detected this and blocked a load of consoles...

 

What's the problem with it?

Wont read games alot and does actually stick ocasionally. Thought replacing was best idea. Problem is that looks like liteon are soldered as well. Thanks ken

You can just swap the boards over, that's much easier and quicker than flashing.... (and a great deal easier too)

 

if you're not happy doing it, I have done quite a few and wouldn't mind sorting it for you!

It's easy to do.... if you have a soldering iron, I don't mind even coming and doing it there, it's a 2 minute job (once the drives out of the xbox and open)

You shouldn't have to solder to the old liteon drives.

yes, the lite-on drives are soldered...

Is your old drive working? Extract the key using the "PMT" method, the use the same method and jungle flasher for flashing a new drive with your keys. Totally solderless and works a treat.

Sorted now. I switched boards. easy, found opening the console harder :-)
