There's some notice on the windows about a planning application for a minor change to the alcohol license (areas where it can be served), but I couldn't find it on the SCC website.

Well if it does open early Feb I doubt the re furb is that major as nothing appears to have happened yet.

 

 

Its surrounded by "chimneys" plus pretty good bus service, so could be popular.

 

However as has been said a lick of paint and a clean up aint gonna cut it

51 bus runs past the pub up to every 10 minutes.

I believe the Shiny Sheff re-opens on 11th May.

Has anyone actually seen much happening?

 

When ever I go past there seems to be either nothing going on or a small van or 2 in the car park.

 

Not seen any skips or anything and the outside looks the same.

I have heard two conflicting rumours:

 

1 - That it is going upmarket with a decent chef and quality food.
