Hiya Flyer, How many times have you walked up/down here

Blackbrooke rd, the field across is where we use to sledge in the

farmers field when we were snowed in and couldn't get to School.

The field was opposite the Assembly hall in the homes.

The next photo i send you will be of 1947 the worst of all winters.

Hiya Flyer, hope you get this picture of the water tower,

if you look you can see the workshop where the painters and

carpenters shared.

This was in 1947 i'll never forget when we couldn't get to School

the superintendent use to get the big boys with their sledges

and to meet up at top of crimacar lane.

We would meet the milkman/breadman/grocer man and put all

the goods on our sledges and take to Lodge moor Hospital.

When we did that the farmer would let us sledge in his field.

Happy days.

Will never know the storys of why some land up in Fullwood, but the Linsey's do stick in mind because a trio of such nice polite lads even at that early age remember thinking these are not from around here, and to land up with Millner in 3 untill 14 what a horror story:gag::gag:
