highways agency website, says Woodhead closed till 11am Thursday

Ive just come back from walking the dogs and i walked them on the road from the Flouch Roundabout to the Dog and Partridge pub seeing as the Woodhead is closed ,and the snow is roughly 4" deep with the drifting across the road, so i would say the Woodhead being open at 11am tomorrow is very optimistic to say the least. Its snowing up here again now and drifting .

Tractor has been on my road. The snow has covered it again. Losing battle until it stops.

Morning all!

Been out with the dog, big flakes falling fast, the conditions for disruption during journeys are ripe, be careful!

The fronts are now so slow moving that it will linger and persist snowing. Winds changed to a straight Westerly again but there's enough there to add depth to what we already have on the ground. It will continue to snow after rush hour and into the morning, so worth keeping an eye on.
