Careful folks its slippery as hell out there. Just seen a VW 4x4 go straight on from Camm St into a garden on Greenhow St. Numerous cars coming down hill with all 4 wheels locked up. Take it easy till the sun melts it

It's going to be the same all day - as yesterday really - blizzards in short, sharp bursts.

The real danger is at night when it is colder and can pose a longer threat to traffic and pedestrians.

Anyone been over the Pennines today?
