2014/2015 Snow & Winter Weather MegaThread

Recommended Posts

Update is that there is no update! Dusting of snow later, almost certainly nothing to grind everything to a halt. We've got away lightly on this occasion..

I've bought a couple of wooly hats, so I can confidently predict no more snow or even any more cold spells this winter.

Looks to be a steady rise in temperature over the next few days.

Good!

Like the snow and was walking up at ringinglow yesterday and there is still loads of it up there, main road at burbage was still closed, but a bit tired of it now and the ice on paths is really dangerous.

Been a bit quiet as it has been very settled over the past few days. There is a rainy front coming over that will bring with it some windy weather which isn't ideal as my garden fence is literally hanging on by a thread. It's definitely going to be over before we get to the summer.

Changeable weather is due after that but I doubt that we'll see anymore snow, more rain and wind leading to structural damage or flooding. It can of course snow buckets right up until the end of April if the conditions fancy it, but I don't personally see us getting it now. Time to start sorting the garden!
