cuttsie   1,091 #1 Posted December 8, 2014 Any tips on how to download an office section on to Windows 7? I thought that the system had one as an integral part of the system. I need to write and save papers for a later date. Cheers .
 Share this content via...
swarfendor437 Â Â 14 #2 Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) Under Accessories you have WordPad which is a Text Processor. Â You may also like: Â http://www.wps.com/ Â https://www.libreoffice.org/ Â both at no cost. Â Plus some others you may want to consider: Â http://www.techshout.com/alternatives/2013/29/wordpad-alternatives/ Edited December 8, 2014 by swarfendor43
 Share this content via...

swarfendor437   14 #5 Posted December 9, 2014 or you could use the online version of office  I would avoid any online stuff - the problems experienced in the Work environment would not want me to touch any 'cloud' services with a barge pole - keep it local, keep it free - so long as it does what you need, that is all that matters! The download has been running around 4 hours ,I have a full page in view with for example , open office Setup [2].exe plus a full page of similar blue writing. underneath it says show in list and remove from list . This has been running for around four hours. at the top of the screen is a notice with a half circle going round the word download. does this download take a long time or have I cocked up some where. Cheers.
 Share this content via...

swarfendor437 Â Â 14 #9 Posted December 9, 2014 LibreOffice and OpenOffice can take a long time to download - it might be easier and quicker if you went to https://ninite.com and download the installer from there.
