Legends Bar Hillsborough closed?

Recommended Posts

Just walked past Legends and it looks very, very closed. As in, no longer functioning (?) I'm sure it was open last night. Any information?

It'd be nice if it turned into something useful. Legends is/was awful. It would make a nice micropub. Can't see it happening though.

Remember those corner cafes serving coffee in Pyrex cups & saucers; and scones or fancies? It should become one of those, to take the time-wasting coffee brigade outta the Rawson. I'm fed up of queuing for ages behind some blue-rinser asking for "larh-te" when all I want is a pint (it's a pub) and I can at least pronounce the drink correctly.

It was being painted today.

I'd love a decent pub to replace it, but doubt that's going to happen.

A decent 'Thornbridge-style' pub would make an absolute killing in Hillsborough.

I know the owner has been getting costs to do a budget refurb so that probably why, do it now and get it open before Christmas.

Its going to be a lap dancing bar, with lots of Poles (Polish) ladies.

....they are more hard working than English lap dancers and cheaper

I thought all the Thornbridge pubs weren't making any profit?

I doubt there are many pubs turning a profit.

I don't know much about Thornbridge, but I'd be surprised if The Greystones and The Bath Hotel weren't financially secure, at the very least.
