"’Biggest step forward’ for Sheffield’s £600m Sevenstone retail site, says Scriven" http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/business/business-news/biggest-step-forward-for-sheffield-s-600m-sevenstone-retail-site-says-scriven-1-3182672 I think you will find it was not Julie Dore to blame, just do a search for Sheffield Sevenstones and you may well find that Paul Scriven was the man behind the project. If we want a leader with charisma and also photogenic in front of a camera, come back Baron Scriven of Hunters Bar, leader of Sheffield Council 2008-11. There rests my case I never said she was to blame.
 Share this content via...
Anna B Â Â 1,414 #110 Posted December 7, 2014 Can I recommend that anyone that wishes to criticise, tries to learn bit about what powers and decisions making rights our Councillors actually have. It isn't easy to get to the bottom of it, but writing to Ms Dore might be a good start. Â So much of Local Government and Administration is controlled by nationally implemented laws and regulations. Because of this and the complexity of it all, much of the control is in the hands of the unelected officers, the Chief Executive etc. Â "Yes, Minister" was not far off the mark in both National & Local Government. Â I agree totally, but why is it so difficult to find things out? Shouldn't the workings of the council be 'transparent'? Â They make a show of being 'transparent' but in actuallity nothing could be further from the truth.
 Share this content via...

They don't like it, you know!
 Share this content via...

Penistone999   10 #113 Posted December 7, 2014 All before Julie Dore's time.  The point is the person who i quoted is blaming the government for SCC`s mismanagement and sheer incompetence. I was merely listing some of SCC`s major "mistakes" over the years and wondering how someone can say the government is to blame for balls up`s made in sheffield town hall.  ---------- Post added 07-12-2014 at 16:59 ----------  A general attitude seems to pervade the Sheffield administration that they are all doing us a favour and we should not interfere with their cushy numbers. The classic attitude of planners that we are all to thick to understand what they do springs to mind. Whatever that means.
 Share this content via...

I knew someone would be able to solve the riddle.  i will not ask you try to work out which of the Indian states it would be,that would be asking too much. Maybe he will tell us.
