House Alarm recommendations/questions - no quotes/advertising

It would be better to remove the battery and power down the alarm if you don't use it . Worst case is the battery drys out and the control panel will get really hot

As they should be normally be replace every 5 years

Can anybody recommend a local alarm / electrical engineer that could disconnect an aged alarm system?

My house alarm on two separate occasions has switched itself on, when it’s been off. It’s not one continuous ring, but a two tone one. I then have to switch it off. Any ideas what the matter could be ? :huh:

Mine did same ,turned out it was anti tamper on a sensor

Thanks for that information. Did you have to have your burglar alarm man in to fix it ?

No I traced which sensor it was as it flashed on display zone X and replaced that sensor. All good after that

Hi I have a Veritas burglar alarm and one of the zones keeps making it go off. I put the code in and press unset and the green light comes on but when I walk back into the room the alarm goes off again, anyone know what I have done and how to reset it

Does it chime or set off the alarm ? Have you tried to program the system yourself ? Or have you changed the sensor / taken it down for decorating?
