Can anyone recommend a bridge camera?

Recommended Posts

All.

I am looking to purchase a bridge camera for someone for Xmas. They are good enough to have something better than a digital point and shoot, but not quite David Bailey yet, so a bridge camera should be ideal.

I would like some advice on the best one's out there if you would be so kind. Maximum spend is £140.

I have seen a fujifilm on the tesco direct website and a Nikon on the argos website, but would welcome some other opinions and suggestions.

Here are the cameras in question

Thanks in advance forummers !

I'm a bit out of touch with specific cameras but would recommend you look at Panasonic.

Same here. The Fuji S5600 was my first bridge and they still command high prices even today.

I went onto a Canon 350D next but never really used the lenses other than the stock. So I sold it and went for a compact Canon SX110 which had all the features of the 350D but was far handier to carry. And it had a better screen on the back.
