Water shots in or near Sheffield

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some locations where I can take some good shots involving water.

I know the river don at Oughtibridge is one of my favourites, especially when the river is full. I've also taken some decent shots at both Rother Valley and Graves Park.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could try Wyming Brook near Lodge Moor for waterfalls?

depending on what you are looking for, even places like Endcliffe Park has some nice parts where the water is running through if you want slow water/long exposure -

I did that earlier this year. From Oughtibridge to Doncaster - but not in one day though!

Quite a few nice shots on the way.

Rivelin valley ?

There's a nice little Brook in the longshaw estates, now far from the visitors centre. Also padley gorge in the same area.

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but what grade ND filter would be needed to take really slow shots, i put my polarisor on and it enabled me to get slowish shots, but what is ideal?
