Grahamfff   10 #1 Posted November 3, 2014 We have three carp in a pond and would like to rehome them. As we have small children visiting us a lot we want to get rid of the pond. Also, the pond has spring a leak and we don't want to have to go to teh trouble and expense of repairing it. So the fish need to go!  To be honeset, we don't knw a lot about them - they were left by the previous owner of the house. I understand they are carp but not of the particularly valuable kind. One is abot a foot long, the others rather smaller.  Any ideas?
 Share this content via...
Elizabeth13 Â Â 10 #2 Posted November 4, 2014 It's getting too late in the year and too cold to move fish. Hopefully someone can help you asap, otherwise try a good fish shop that specialise in carp to rehome them to.
 Share this content via...

If you get yours up and running for next spring get in touch,we have lots of little spry that have bred from ours will gladly let you have some. nikita   10 #9 Posted November 4, 2014 Not necessarily. They have the capacity to quarantine. Yes they have that I suppose ,but I would imagine they quarantine their own rather than risking taking others , But as I said I am no expert. puddinburner   10 #10 Posted November 4, 2014 All new fish are quarantined at Birley for sure and treated if relevant. Do know this as used to work there. I wasn't planning on fish till next year but as it happens also set up a 2ft tank about three weeks ago for some little one's to grow on. Far too small for big one's though.Hope you get sorted cos all fish deserve a chance xxxx  ---------- Post added 04-11-2014 at 20:10 ----------  Bringing them in to a tank may shock them too much also. My allotment pond is 4ft deep by 6 long n 4 wide. No filtration or aeration as yet x
 Share this content via...
SStall   10 #11 Posted May 15, 2016 Hi  Did you have any luck rehoming these fish? I'm hoping to rehome some for the same reason (young kids and safety!) and want to find them a good new home all together! Any tips?  Thanks  Sarah
 Share this content via...
