Anna B Â Â 1,401 #219 Posted October 31, 2014 Far more sensible people in the UK and US than I imagined. I have no time at all for anyone that claims to trust their government. Â Â Â Â Superstores buying power is such that they can and do manipulate prices of many products. Superstores can afford to sell many of their products especially, and obviously, the more popular ones as loss leaders just to get you into the store. Â And of course there s still such a thing as quality, I for one would prefer to buy from a farm shop when possible and hopefully they would be organic products too; Though you have to be careful in regard to some people's definition of organic. Â Basically the less chemicals drugs whatever that has been put into food, and often without our knowledge, the better. That is just common sense. Anyone that thinks differently is probably one of those same people that lets their children consume aspertame. . . Â Farmers work hard in all weathers, yet superstores pay them a pittance. The major superstores are forcing British farmers out of business.
 Share this content via...

Stan Tamudo   10 #222 Posted October 31, 2014 Aye Stanley! But they'll not be doing it for nowt back.  I know, it's very savvy. Fund a film that slags you off but you know it's going to make you money. It's a funny old world!
 Share this content via...
pb1977   10 #223 Posted October 31, 2014 The number of dollar Billionaires in the world has doubled to 1,645 since the crash in 2008. According to a report by Oxfam, the 85 richest people saw their fortunes increase by a total of £150,000 Billion over the past year - equivalent to £415 Million a day.  And earlier research found these 85 had access to wealth equal to that of half the world's population. The charity's chief executive Mark Goldring said it highlighted the problem of Global inequality.  Or maybe he's just feeling 'hostile'.....  Are you sure it's not an increase of $150,000 million which would be $150 billion. Which when the top 85 are worth $2,200 billion give or take the odd billion. ( $2,200,000 million or just over 2 UK billion ) An increase of $150 billion sounds more realistic than 150,000 billion. lines   10 #226 Posted November 1, 2014 Personal perception is a funny thing.... I didn't like Brand, but it was the Paxman interview that turned me on to the fact that he might have something to say.  Like what, anarchy and revolution? Really?  ---------- Post added 01-11-2014 at 14:22 ----------  Compared to anything politicians say? The Daily Mail are nothing but a propaganda organisation.  Just like every other media outlet including you and SF, but we're all allowed an opinion!  ---------- Post added 01-11-2014 at 14:31 ----------  I guess Melody Sachs has the measure of him: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2816522/Cowardly-Russell-Brand-s-insulted-Six-years-ago-obscenely-taunted-Fawlty-Towers-star-Andrew-Sachs-Radio-2-year-wrote-make-amends-cue-Mrs-Sachs-withering-reply.html  Why would anyone take anything he says seriously?  So he's still in rehab and not even doing a good job of that, breaking promises and raking up the past, probably just for self promotion.  He's a raving self centred lunatic! lines   10 #228 Posted November 1, 2014 That's nearly as good as the Nazi agenda analogy.  Wasn't Nazism a socialist agenda? So in reality Brand is more Nazi than my comment of repeating his views!  Well done troll...
 Share this content via...
