Chestnuts around sheffield

Where the hallamshire hospital is there is the side road that takes you to the car park if you walk up there just off the main road think its glossop road on your right before you turn off to car park there is a big conker tree I always pick a few in fact I got three really good sized and shaped ones last Friday there were lots should still be some if you are up that way

We used to collect chestnuts in the woods opposite Beauchief hotel and we used to then roast them on bonfire night.

tesco now have chestnuts in store. none in morrisons or asda when i looked.

chestnuts in moorfoot market. £1.50 per pound. £3 something a kilo. much much cheaper than supermarket ones.
