It's a yellow BMW 650 GS, reg plate CN52 RJV

Definitely seen on the Bochum Parkway/ Norton Avenue heading towards town/ Gleadless at 6.10 pm on the 2nd October.

Possible sighting this morning 3rd October at approx. 8 am heading towards Chesterfield on the Dronfield bypass.

These people seem to be using the bike fairly locally, possibly on a commute. Please keep your eyes open for them.

The bike belongs to a dear friend and was stolen from Meersbrook Avenue, probably by people using a van, last Friday.

All bikes are important to their owners, but this one has a very special significance to my friend, and she's heartbroken at its loss.

It has a Welsh dragon sticker on the front, a Che Guevara sticker, a large grille and metal panniers (or maybe not). It's pretty easy to spot, and it's clearly still here in Sheffield.

Please note, this bike may have been sold on to someone unaware that it was stolen. Please, please, if this is you or someone you know, help us get it back to its rightful owner.

I'm sure that it would never occur to anyone who buys a motorbike from someone in Gleadless that it may have been stolen.

Turns out there were two people on the bike, both male. Possibly a father and son.

Bev, who the bike belongs to, took it on a journey from the Canadian border down through South America. They've had plenty of adventures together. It's even been stolen and found once before through the wonders of social media and fab Sheffielders. Let's bring it back to her again

What really pxxxxs me off is that they feel like they can steal it and drive it around the same area they stole it from without any consequences.

Thank you, esme.

It is infuriating to know it's being driven around so close to where it was stolen. By the looks of journeys they've been spotted on, possibly even commuting to Chesterfield and back.

The friend whose bike it is did manage to force them to stop when she saw them on the Bochum Parkway, but they quickly sped off again, and because it was a teenager on the back, she didn't want to cause an accident. We have to presume they're very well aware it's stolen.

I could have swore I saw this bike minus the panniers on the link road between Park Grange Road and Granville Road, (Norfolk Park Road) traveling towards Granville Road tonight around 17.30hrs, we were parked in the Goals car park, and it was very noticeable in colour, size and make, it could be deliberately using all the local back roads, if it was the same one!!!!

Thank you!

It is a very noticeable bike. Please if you spot it again, report it straight away.

Hopefully it's just a matter of time before we get 'em.
