Little girls naked at Peace Garden

Recommended Posts

So .. their being naked increases their risk of harm/abduction?

It does increase their risk of paranoid Internet disapproval though. When I was a child in the 60's it was okay, because there was no Internet.

We were having a sandwich at the peace gardens yesterday, it was lunch time so was quite busy. Lots of students and as usual a couple of dodgy looking guys watching people.

I couldn't believe it when a couple of little girls aged around 3-4 started running around the fountain, one in her pants and the other naked.

Is this OK? I don't understand how people can let their young daughters run about in public with no clothes on. It's not even a beach! I mentioned it to the 'city centre ambassador', who told me they have spoken to the mum and suggested she dressed her kids, but she just ignored them and theres not a lot they can do.

I've been told in the past that the Peace Gardens is a hang out for pedophiles, makes me feel sick just thinking about it, how can some mums be so ignorant, or is it just me being too cynical?

How can anyone be harmed by being looked at ?

So you think it's alright for you to have naked pictures of kids on your computer?

My neighbour has 2 daughters and when the suns out they happily bounce around naked on a trampoline in the back garden.

Its a real shame that the new term has started and they've both gone back to uni.

If only all women and children wore burqas there'd be no sexual predators at all. That's the ultimate thought process that's operating here.

So you're now equating child porn to kids running around having fun?

How about you suggest that all children below the age of 18 must ghost costumes when out in public. Then no-one can see them.

Where not actually talking about wether they should play in the peace garden fountains or not its about if they should play naked.

As a child myself brought up in the 60s times were more innocent and we did play naked in the garden or on the beach at 3 years old but times have changed and its become less acceptable today.

I myself think todays society is far more dangerous than when i was a nipper and I would feel uneasy just talking to a child these days incase I was accused of being a paedo.

If you ask my opinion and it is only an opinion I would say bikini is fine but not naked, its a shame that this freedom is no longer safe.

Have times changed?

In terms of child deaths and kidnappings, society is far safer today than when you were a child.

UK is still a very repressed society that has to grow with these issues.

But wasn't the problem in Rotherham that the sexual preditors were from a society that covers their women and female children burqas?

The somewhat sarcastic point that I'm making is that in societies where nudity is not seen as a problem, there seems to be less sexual abuse, whereas in societies where it is a problem then the opposite is the case.

I was brought up in Egypt, and the dramatic rise in sexual harassment against women there is positively correlated with the pressures on women to cover themselves.

Personally, I see little kids running naked in water on a sunny day and I just smile at their innocent joy.
