sccsux   10 #25 Posted October 4, 2007 Does every card have some sort of generic driver that the BIOS holds?  No.  Video cards have certain "defaults" built in (640X460 @ 16 colours) Windows has drivers for these default modes built in (which is why safe mode looks crap:D).
