Plain Talker   11 #1 Posted September 5, 2014 On this day in 1946, a little boy was born in Zanzibar, called Farrokh Bulsara.  He grew up to be the wonderful Freddie Mercury, showman, singer, musician, songwriter and lead singer of the band Queen.  Happy 68th birthday, Freddie. The world is a sadder place without you. We miss you.  Freddie Mercury. September 5 1946 - November 24th 1991.
 Share this content via...
Ousetunes   10 #2 Posted September 5, 2014 Remember hearing of his death and feeling empty as I'd grown up with Queen's timeless music.  The previous day I'd bought a Sunday newspaper and there was a picture of him looking awful on the front.  As a front man, he'll never be bettered, IMO. Miss him? Yeh!
 Share this content via...

Mr Bloom   10 #4 Posted September 8, 2014 How terribly sad that if he was here with HIV today, he'd still probably live a long, productive, life and in relative terms he only missed a relative 'cure' by a few years.  How wonderful though, that many other talented people with HIV will now be saved though.  I love his music but watching videos is something special because it's the whole 'showman' package that was awesome, something I feel that has not been matched since his passing in the music world. A total rock star. Utterly gutted I never saw him perform.   Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
 Share this content via...
