There will be children’s activities & crafts – make your own Christmas decorations & gifts: Candles, soaps, bird feeders & boxes. Face painting. Animals. Merry-go-round. Christmas market – Arts & crafts gifts. Jewellery. Preserves. Honey. Cakes & sweets. Wreaths & plants. Charity gift stalls. Toys. Hats & scarves. Carol singers. Seasonal produce. Chestnuts. Hot & cold refreshments – Hot homemade lunches & home baked cakes. Tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Mulled wine. Christmas ale. Come whatever the weather – everything under cover! With the support of Mercury Taxis our barns will be packed full of arts, crafts and Farmers’ Market delights so you can choose some unique gifts and get your Christmas stockings full to overflowing with lots of gorgeous treats! You will also be able to choose between beautiful Christmas trees. Santa and the elves will be waiting by an open fire in our cosy farmhouse to give the little ones their presents and if you’ve been really good, you will even be able to sneak a peek at his helpful Reindeer! Once you’ve been to the farm house you can also visit the ponies and rabbits in the petting barn. The scent of hot roasted chestnuts will fill the air while you feast to your heart’s content on mouth-watering high welfare pork at the Whirlow Hog Roast stand or fill up on many other tasty meals provided by caterers at the Fayre. Try fresh soup or a fruity mulled wine and mince pie to warm those mittens or select between lots of tasty home-made cakes in the Whirlow Café.
