Vaati   11 #4 Posted September 3, 2014 its going to be at st christophers planning in sylvias window  Ah that explains it, I don't get chance to use the Papershop often. The car place closing?
 Share this content via...
semerpus   10 #5 Posted September 3, 2014 Ah that explains it, I don't get chance to use the Papershop often. The car place closing?  Much needed!!  Shop on church street charges 50p per card on every transaction or £1.95 to withdraw from cash point.. And gets away with it as they have a virtual monopoly...  No loyalty from me .. £20 + spend and still get stung by an additional card charge.  Bring on Tesco ? Vaati   11 #6 Posted September 3, 2014 If I need cash I either get it before coming home, or do a free withdraw at the Post Office. I never use the shop on Church Street though. Either the paper shop or the village shop, depending what we need, if I haven't already got it.
 Share this content via...

Please do not panic.
 Share this content via...
Jozafeen   10 #9 Posted September 3, 2014 St Christopher's put planning in for flats a few years ago and that didn't succeed so now they want to sell out to Tesco. No thanks!  It'll kill the local shops stone dead and make Ooty less villagelike.
 Share this content via...

Vaati   11 #11 Posted September 3, 2014  About time we got good shops we are 20 year behind Sheffield  No not really, we have shops that are good and a decent link to the tram.  I don't want the Tesco due to the local shops being okay for some stuff. It isn't like we can't just jump on the bus (or some peeps into their cars) if they want more stuff that the odd bits and pieces.
