Dick   10 #1 Posted August 31, 2014 I went out of the house at six o'clock this morning and couldn't believe my eyes. Next doors landrover defender, parked on the road, had had all it's doors and bonnet stolen. They'd also taken the LED bulbs out of the lights, but left the light fittings themselves. They'd been in the glove box and taken the GPS but left an expensive pair of binoculars. Talk about brazen. Anyone driving down the road would have seen them at work. It must have been between midnight last night and 6am this morning. This is the Rushley area of Dore. If by any chance anyone has seen anything or anyone with Landrover doors and bonnet please pm me. Paddy   10 #2 Posted August 31, 2014 Why do people leave an expensive GPS in their vehicle for thieves to take?  DON'T leave anything of value in your vehicle overnight!!
 Share this content via...
numbercrunch   10 #3 Posted August 31, 2014 Do you seriously think they stole ALL the doors and bonnet to get to a GPS in the glove box (did they have x ray specs?)  Each door is worth loads more than a GPS.  There are loads of Land Rovers being stripped of parts these days. Partly due to the fact that they are bolted together like meccano.
 Share this content via...
dhs1 Â Â 10 #4 Posted August 31, 2014 There is a thread about theft of Land Rovers with links as it appears to be widespread.
 Share this content via...

BenW Â Â 10 #6 Posted September 1, 2014 It's a nationwide thing with defender parts at the moment.
 Share this content via...
geared   302 #7 Posted September 2, 2014 The Range Rovers are really bad for it as well.  IIRC they strip the entire front end off as the LED head-lights are worth loads of money.
 Share this content via...
