Rotherham Children sexually exploited

According to Toby Foster just now, every Mosque in Rotherham has been invited to talk about this and every one has refused , what's that all about? Seems very much like some people in the community are covering up a lot of this crime.

It's a crime that when a child is "in care" it's one of the most unsafe places to be.

didnt anyone see the tv programme last night at 11 pm , it was called pakistans hidden shame.they were rapeing 8 year old kids at bus stations ,like it was goin out of fashion ,it was very disturbing to watch they the men were openley talkin and admittin it like it was normal thing to do ,try and watch it but only if you dont get upset easily it was sick

Just think of the probable answers to this question. Its not going to provide an enlightening of the subject or person! Its a statement not a question

What we need is a plan to:-

1. Safeguard the children

2. Prosecute the offenders

3. Hold people, who looked the other way, to account.

4. Change the mentality of a society that allows this to happen.

I'm watching the Panorama programme now from last night. 4 mins in and Emma Jackson, aged 13 in 2003, clearly says that she was a called a 'white bitch' by her abuser and punched in the mouth. This sounds more like a hate crime to me, I'm sad to say.

If the BBC report is to be believed some of the girls were put into care by their parents to try to get them protected 24/7. By then the damage was done. The groomed girls were climbing out of windows or bunking off school to answer the cell phone commands.

The Pakistani men who did this have no shame. The way they abused, threatened the girls and colluded to get what they wanted out of the 1400 girls (that we know about) is despicable. Surely there are many people who knew what was going on, family members maybe, friends , members of the community, that's what makes this different from other cases, the fact that it was accepted by some Pakistani men as 'the norm'

 

The people who knew about this and did nothing are equally as guilty imo, for crimes like this to flourish it takes people who know to do nothing.

 

The Police, Council & Community need to take a long hard look at themselves.

The sheer amount of girls in care in itself is shocking; there's allsorts of reasons how children end up in care, but lets face it, in the main its drongo drop out "people" ****ting out kids and then the state ends up having to look after them, but that's another thread.

It seems that everyone was leaned upon not to mention that it was men from the Pakistani community doing this grooming. Folk in the social services who mentioned it were sent for retraining. All because of not wanting to upset the reputation of the ethnic minorities. It is pretty clear the defence league is still alive and functioning well as people who speak out seem to get leaned on and their comments and reports end up in the shredder.

There were even break ins into offices where filing cabinets were emptied and their contents disposed of.

How is this allowed to happen in 21st century Britain?

I'm not sure that blaming the parents for their daughters getting groomed and raped is applicable in this case, although I'm sure it is a straw that those turning a blind eye to the crimes will attempt to turn to.

It seems that some parents who discovered their daughters were being exploited put them under the control and supervision of the council in an attempt to have them protected 24/7. Unfortunately in many cases they were inadvertently abbetting the crime.
