Central heating, thinking of putting mine on

Switching the heating on in July! No way - my wallet can't take it. I've found it warmer outside than indoors recently, so that's where I've migrated.

 

I'm in the South of France. If I had central heating, it would be on.

It's getting to that time of year again, nights are drawing in and the temp is deffo cool for the time of year, my mind is saying "is it time to put the heating on?"

My monthly direct debit went up £5 last month probably as a result of increased electricity usage since my retirement in May. So although it’s felt chilly this evening the heating has not gone on but the cardi and the throw have

I had it on for an hour Saturday morning and just over an hour this morning- it was chilly so better to warm up house when family got up.

 

Though I hope it isn't a regular thing, prefer to hold off as long as possible.

Could you not instigate an early morning family aerobic class to warm them up😀

I put mine on for an hour on Friday night, just to "take the chill off" and make sure it was running OK.

 

Nothing worse than relying on it and finding it not working.

True- that is one reason I put it on when needed but also to make sure it is working! Our boiler is not new but hasn't given up the ghost yet.
