Guest sibon   #49 Posted July 31, 2015 Switching the heating on in July! No way - my wallet can't take it. I've found it warmer outside than indoors recently, so that's where I've migrated.  I'm in the South of France. If I had central heating, it would be on. Guest   #54 Posted September 8, 2019 I had it on for an hour Saturday morning and just over an hour this morning- it was chilly so better to warm up house when family got up.  Though I hope it isn't a regular thing, prefer to hold off as long as possible. alchresearch   213 #57 Posted September 9, 2019 I put mine on for an hour on Friday night, just to "take the chill off" and make sure it was running OK.  Nothing worse than relying on it and finding it not working.
 Share this content via...

True- that is one reason I put it on when needed but also to make sure it is working! Our boiler is not new but hasn't given up the ghost yet.
