** Show your support for the Women of Steel **

Recommended Posts

A Sheffield restaurant is hoping the launch of its new lunch menu will set the seal on a statue to mark the sacrifices made by thousands of women in World War Two.

El Paso, situated on Cumberland Street on the bottom of The Moor, is donating all profits from a special 'Women of Steel' event on Tuesday, Sept 2 to the cause.

The Women of Steel will be there alongside Council Leader Julie Dore and other VIPs. The event will include the screening of the rare 'Women of Steel' film and see the restaurant opening for lunch for the first time.

Tables can be booked on 0114 273 9523 or [email protected]

The Women of Steel campaign is working towards raising £150,000 for a statue to commemorate the work done by thousands of South Yorkshire women who toiled in the city's steel mills in World War Two.
