capstan   10 #14 Posted August 15, 2014 Coates at Mosborough small firm and very helpful.  ---------- Post added 15-08-2014 at 20:31 ----------  This is really terrible advice. Why would citizens advice draft a will for you? How is £150 fleecing you? what utter rubbish.  The important thing about a will is that it needs to be effective that means it needs to do what you want it to and be recognised in law. If it is not done correctly then your property may not be distributed according to your wishes. With a will you get the peace of mind it will do what you want.  A solicitor can also help a client plan the distribution of property to be tax efficient i.e to pay the least amount of tax. This is beyond most basic will services.  I dont think the post said citizens advice would draft a will but could provide details of organisations that could.
