Hi Ken gray, Not any teams at all, to be honest football wern't top

of my list although i did have the odd kick about in our back yard

with Paul Dunn, then as said have the odd kick about on Gleddalls field.

I remember a few names should you spot any, Alan West, John Hanncock Roger Spick, all lived around Botham St Grimesthorpe.

 

PS, i knew all the Dunns family in Cyclops St. :|

Hi Wallace, The next brother down was Kevin Martin from Michael but

there in another younger one, can't think yet.

Mick Martin was the eldest of three brothers, Anthony was next and Kevin was the youngest.

for putting it on thread. Spotted Alan West, Mick Ward, there are other

faces i've seen in passing as they got older aswell.

But you Sheila in the picture i can't get over your hairstyle, you look like

a 60s pop singer thinking more like Dusty Springfield although she

was a Blondie type but nevertheless your a star.

Sadly Mick died a while ago,our Sue saw Alan in Miners Welfare Club at Worksop a few months ago.Margaret Hutcheson's sister and bro in law kept the Alexander bottom of Crown Hill,Joan and Norman Heathcote.Then they took St.Cuthberts club at Fir Vale can you remember them.Me and Mags were best mates at school and still in touch.I'll sign your autograph when I see you.makes you wonder if anything was nesting in our hair.:hihi:

Brian Gawthorpe, I think had a younger brother Steve. Last time I saw him he was the manager at TJ Hughes, old Walshes building.

is mum use to work at Sutherland rd swimming baths. :|

I lived on Margate Drive in the prefabs. I was in the same class as Mick Martin. I remember the name Brian Goldthorpe. I think he may have had two brothers but not sure. Was his name Goldthorpe or was it Gawthorpe? Did he live at the top of the hill on Grimesthorpe Rd, on the left hand side facing down the hill?
