Spate of Cloned Cards in Ecclesfield and Surrounding Area

Just to make people aware, that a number of people, including myself have had our debit cards cloned and attempts have been made to withdraw cash.

Banks have advised that the machines at Morrison's in Ecclesfield may have been targeted and the withdrawals are attempted from Indonesia.

Obviously the money should be refunded but it's the inconvenience caused and the eventual cost to everyone if the thieves aren't caught.

Yep, me too, I had a call from the bank on Friday to tell me someone in Indonesia had tried to withdraw money from my account . I now have had to borrow cash I til my card comes ?

Lad had his card cancelled by the bank,this was due to someone booking a holiday in indonesia with it and the bank became suspicious.This was cloned at the tesco petrol station in chapeltown.

Tesco at chapeltown, co op at high green and morrisons at ecclesfield are the ones I know about. I went into HSBC at chapeltown for some cash and there was a woman who had also been a victim and the cashier said they had 7 people in the day before reporting the same thing .

Is their any evidence of the copying actually occuring here?

It was the bank who asked of the card had been used in Morrison's so I presume they had evidence.

Did he use "Pay at Pump" or did he go into the kiosk?
