Sheffield Ski Village On Fire Again Thread

Recommended Posts

Bet it's not on fire today!

It's raining rather heavy.

Let's have a new topic, 'The Ski Village Isn't on Fire!'

No sign of any fire now. Can see that location from our landing window.

it was 1 hour ago :) fires don't usually last too long, especially if there is nothing up there left to burn

And again...very thick grey smoke spreading across the valley. Looks pretty unpleasant.

I don't think it is the Ski Village this time. It absolutely stinks though, whatever it is (am sat in office here on Neepsend Lane)

It is halfway down the slopes - maybe tyres dumped there? I saw a figure in a fluorescent orange jacket just as it started.

Now thick black smoke as well. It must be a driving hazard as well as a breathing hazard.

Ah, we can't see clearly where it is from here. It smells horrible, even with the doors and windows closed :(

I can now smell it from a mile away indoors. Perhaps burning plastic? You might want to phone the Fire Brigade about evacuation advice if it is really bad where you are - it appears to be getting worse.
