Alcoblog   10 #1 Posted July 29, 2014 Having got back from holiday and putting all my lovely bright summer shirts (including some white ones as well) in the washing machine ... along with a newly purchased dark blue pair of shorts, I now need to replace my entire summer collection. I'm after good quality shirts, but having been to the obvious shops (John Lewis, Debenhams, M+S etc) know that I won't find anything particularly inspiring there. Hawaiian shirts for starters, and shirts with penny collars (my favourites). Apart from E-Bay, anyone know of any specialist shops, in or around this fair city that may be able to oblige?  Ta
 Share this content via...

Bandylegs   10 #5 Posted July 29, 2014 Have you considered going vintage? Cow have some fine examples on their website...  http://www.wearecow.com
 Share this content via...
Flexo   10 #6 Posted July 30, 2014 I know what you mean. There's little inspiration, more depression at the same old same old and low quality being sold for high prices.  Browser the online retailers, fashion sites and ebay to find things you like and then follow through to the retailers/labels etc and narrow down. Alcoblog   10 #11 Posted July 31, 2014 Ooops ... sorry, I've been away from a comp since I started this thread, so not been able to respond.  I went shopping yesterday in town and came back with no (nada, nil) shirts whatsover.  backwardben ... string vests are not really my style.  autumn ... my 'washed' shirts are far beyond redemption.  Bandylegs ... yes, I'd like to go vintage (or Steampunk) ... I love the Victorian penny collars, but they're difficult to get hold of (shirts, not collars) ... even on the internet.  Maz3 ... I have bought a shirt from TK Maxx before, not a bad one either.  biotechpete ... nice shirts, and I'm sure well made, but bog standard designs.  XC60 ... same answer as to biotechpete.  ysoserious ... may try Ted Baker as I know they'll make any design you want. Custom made shirts are a bit expensive though.  Off out again now ... thanks everyone!
 Share this content via...
