Chinese - restaurant - MSG free

Does anyone know of any Chinese restaurants in Sheffield or around where you can have msg free food!

 

Find whenever i have i never sleep properly, makes me very restless. Went to one on sat night and they said it was already added/

I think you will be lucky to find one, if you do , let us know.

MSG plays a big part in Chinese food and it is banned in America.

I love the food dont get me wrong, but its the effect is has on me many hours later!, gives me a funny head

 

Thai doesnt have that problem!

I might be wrong but HUi WEI on west st may be MSG free...we eat there v regularly and always feel great the next morning unlike other chinese restaurants.

 

We feel their food is very fresh.

MSG is called Ve Tsin by the Chinese. Most Chinese supermarkets stock it. Sometimes it is labelled "Flavour Powder" in English on the packaging.

Thought I would tell you that so you can avoid it.

I know it's not Chinese but Wagamama don't add msg to any dishes. Some of the ingredients do contain it but this is listed on their website.

 

IIRC, Wok This Way on South Rd is msg free, for take away.

you will never find msg free . all stuff are cooked in advance with some sort of flavoring . soya sauce in itself is a form of flavoring / msg.

 

im allergic also, my throat goes funny / dry in night - all i can do is ask for no soya and put my own soya/ salt if i want it more salty.
