Who's idea was it to Carry work out on the Tram Lines on Tramlines Weekend. ..

Don't the Appropriate Authorities Check What's goin on in Sheffield

I can't believe they've decided to do this work on our Wetherspoons pub crawl weekend.....Do these clowns not consider consulting with the people of Sheffield to find out what they're up to?

Trams from Meadowhall/Halfway/Herdings will still run to Cathedral which is still within the festival area.

Tram replacement buses are running Castle Square - University - Shalesmoor - Hillsborough - Middlewood/Malin Bridge.

Additionally there are two Tramlines Busker bus services taking in all the festival areas, I assume there will be a stop outside O2 Academy which will provide a useful connection with the tram at Castle Square....

There are also the normal Stagecoach buses such as the 52, 57, 79, 79A and 120. (see http://www.stagecoachbus.com/sheffield)

Stagecoach Bus & Tram Dayrider £4 adults, £2.30 children, £8.50 family.

Citywide all day travel ticket (all operators bus & tram) £4.50 adult, £2.50 child.

PARK & RIDE

still available with trams at Nunnery Square and Halfway. Ticket includes car parking and unlimited tram travel for one person until midnight for £4.50

special park & ride offers - Friday night after 6pm price reduced to £2.50

Saturday/Sunday all day family ticket available, includes travel for 2 adults and 2 children for £6.50.

I'm sure they do as works were suspended for Tour de France. But does a lack of trams really have that much impact on Tramlines?! I know I'd rather Tramlines had no trams than TdF! Let's face it, there's never gonna be a good time to dig up tram tracks but summer is the best time and while the kids are off and traffic is lighter.

Seems quite fitting to me??

It's a festival about Tramlines isn't it??

They're doing stuff to the Tramlines - everyone can gather round and have a good look.

Awesome weekend

Sounds like a plan to me!

Go to the Cathedral and then walk through town. Easy Peasey!

Hopefully in a few years it will be so busy that they'll have to shut West Street off so we can have a big Mardi Gras style street party.
