It probably attracted new faces because it was originally posted in General Discussions, that said the Sheffield football section needs all the new faces it can get, it has become a very boring clique :D

They aren't football fans they are thugs. It wouldn't surprise me if they don't know anything about Sheffield United.

I don't get the whole 'they aren't football fans'.

They generally follow their teams through thick and thin.

What they do outside of that is awful, but they will know more than most about United.

I don't like the whole using a football team as a guise to do what they do.

The reason they "follow their team through thick and thin"...is that it gives them an excuse to be in a mob of like-minded individuals, who in turn drink, shout abuse and fight.......

But "if they know more than most about United"..then thats ok:loopy::loopy:

I can't see anything bizarre about the comment to warrant the use of :loopy:.

What has the comment "they know more than most about United" got to do with it ..

is it a way of justifying their actions?

That what i find bizarre....

Sheri, what Robbie is saying is that some of these people follow the club through thick and thin, home and away, and so have a good knowledge of the actual team.

A bit like when you get England fans causing trouble abroad (or used to) or fans of Liverpool or any other English club playing in Europe, sometimes caught up in trouble situations. Some of these people spend a fortune following their club and a minority are always hoping for a skirmish.
